More Magic...

This is the reason that I now giggle whenever my principal talks about 'magic in the classroom'.

'Magic' in the Classroom

Our principal keeps saying how 'magic' happens in the classroom. Here's how I'd like to respond...

I object to the word 'magic' as it implies supernatural powers and diminishes the real-world hard work that goes on in the classroom.

Sadly things like this happen more often than I'd like.

Minor Annoyance

I really, really hate it when corporate entities think that it is OK to automatically opt users in to a mailing list during competitions / promotions. To enter the competition, you need to spend $40.00 or more on petrol so it is not as if they are giving anything away for free. They do say you can opt out at any time but I'd rather not 'opt in' at all!

Too Fast!

Sometimes too little marking is much worse than too much...
