Inefficiency
Another Canterbury University inspired 'enrolment moment'. This happened a while back and I finally made the time to cartoon it.

There vs Their
This one is dedicated to English teacher's everywhere. Whilst I don't teach English, my IT students manage to get this one wrong on a regular basis...

Found Money
Sometimes kids drop money in my classroom. Sometimes said dropping is accidental (my 12th graders will find this amusing - it's a bit of an in-joke).

More Inaccessible Services
This one was inspired by a post graduate email that arrived in my Canterbury University inbox. Almost all the 'exciting services' are inaccessible to those of us engaged in distance learning. This would not be a problem except we have been charged an exorbitant student services levy for these services.

Dr Seuss Moment
I had a 'Dr Seuss' moment in class the other day. Repeatedly imploring kids to pack away blocks (in a box) can do that...

eBook Feedback
This actually happened. To be fair, the student in question was very excited about his discovery and he was not being rude or arrogant. I don't think my kids have any idea just how long it takes to make the resources they use in my class.

'That Levy' - Educator Rebate
It's taken a while to find time to make this one. It was inspired by the struggle to get Canterbury University to waive the very unfair student services levy for distance learners. Most of the 'action' happened during the school holidays when it was impossible to get a 'proof' letter from my school as the office was closed.

Goal Setting...
At school we are required to set goals that align with our school / department goals. Needless to say, this approach is not always all that useful - especially when one is the sole teacher of a subject and the goals one cares about don't really match school / department goals (even if they are critical to student success).
I'm pretty much 'over' the whole goal setting process so have decided to try something new this time around...
